Information regarding the boulders. There are no set dimensions we can give in regards to how big a certain size
rock is. Each Boulder is unique in its dimensions, color, and grain. We order these boulders in especially for
engraving purposes. What we can tell you is that these are granite boulders. Granite is a dense heavy stone and
the only choice for name and address boulders in our opinion. Other types of natural stone (softer stones such as
limestone, sandstone, etc.), man made cast stone made to look like a rock, and others pale in comparison to the
granite boulders in terms of the natural look, durability (our work is guaranteed for our lifetime.........after that you
are on your own), & the ability to yield a quality engraved item by providing us with a wonderful medium to work
with. This is not only true for our uses but granite is the stone of choice for monuments, counter tops, tile, and the
list goes on. Theses engraved boulders will out live us so we take great care in designing a rock with your vision in
mind. We truly offer you a finished work of art when your Boulder is completed. No more just "SMITH" on a rock
or "1234". After all, we are not making a headstone for your landscaping so get creative and have some fun...

PRICING:
Granite Boulders are
18 cents a pound (so for every
100 lbs you would spend $18.00 on
the rock.) Our most popular sizes
for name & address boulders range
between 200 - 800 lbs. Typically,
your cost is not in the rock but in the
engraving. We have them in all
shapes, sizes, & colors. Picking out
a rock shouldn't be hard but wait
until you see our selection. You'll
laugh at trying to pick out your
perfect Boulder.

2 Inch Letter/# -$13.00 per letter

3 Inch Letter/# -$16.00 per letter

There is no engraving

Over 200 fonts to choose from

Black shadow paint is used to
highlight the engraving in the
rock. We also have color
available. We use a paint
designed specifically for stone. It
is the best on the market. It does
not fade. If you see a Boulder
with faded lettering, they went
cheap on the paint and
guaranteed it did not come from
us. Details and quality are
important to us.

TURN AROUND TIME for
ENGRAVED BOULDERS:
We typically run 2-4 weeks to
complete Boulder orders. There are
certain times where we may run a bit
longer due to the time of year. Please
be patient. To engrave these rocks
and to do it right is a labor intensive
time consuming process. It will be
worth the wait. When you order your
Boulder we will let you know the
current time frame. At Christmas
time we take orders on a first come
basis. We can only do so many in a
set time frame so when ordering an
engraved Boulder for Christmas or
any other date sensitive occasion,
please place your order as early as
possible. We do engrave the boulders
as well as all of our items all year
round so you can get them any time
you need that perfect gift.

When you pick out your Boulder, we then have you sit down in our in
house Design Center where you get to customize your order. Pick your
font (over 200 to choose from), pick your art if you would like that on your
rock, & any other request you may have, then we show you it to you on the
computer before we engrave it in stone. Want one for your business or a
special custom art request? Please provide logos/art work in EPS or AI
format. JPEG or BMP will not work. At the very least we need a clean
black and white copy but additional design charges may apply depending
on the quality. We can add color to the finished product.

One of the questions we get frequently is what size letters/numbers do we need
for our rock. Here is how it works. We fit the letters to your rock so when
you pick out your rock and tell us what you want on it, we can tell you what is
the right letter/number size for that rock based on what you are having
engraved on it. This is truly the only correct way to do it. We go for overall
look of the finished product. Did you ever see a great big Boulder with small
lettering or a small Boulder with huge letters. Doesn't do much for us so we
don't do it that way. There is a method to getting the right sizes. We go the
extra mile. Each rock is custom measured and designed to create a work of
art. The boulders most often become a focal point in a landscape design so
we want it to compliment your hard work not distract from it. There is no set
size letters for say a certain weight of Boulder. But at as guide we will tell you
that a 100-250 lb. Boulder will probably use a combination of the 1 , 2, or 3
inch letter sizes. A 300 -600 Boulder will probably use a combination of 2, 3,
or 4 inch letter sizes. 600 -1000 lb. Boulders can have a combination of 3, 4,
5, or 6 inch sizes. Your surname or street number is typically done in a larger
letter size than anything else on the rock. Then you go down a size for "the"
or "est. 2006" or if you are adding a street name. The staggered look is quite
appealing. Factors that can influence the size of the letters/numbers: 1) the
size of the rock, 2) the size of the face (the area where we engrave the rock),
3) how long your name is, 4) what you are putting on the rock, and or 5) if
you are adding artwork to your Boulder. We have listed a few examples of
the rocks above with weights and letter sizes.
